John GithongoJohn Githongo is the CEO of Inuka Kenya Trust. He holds an Honours degree in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Wales, and an Honorary Doctorate from the Open University. In the past he has served as Vice President Policy and Advocacy, World Vision International and Senior Associate Member, St. Antony's College, Oxford, with whom he is still associated as a Senior Common Room Member. He served as Permanent Secretary, Office of the President of Kenya, between 2003 and 2005. Prior to that he was a director of Transparency International-Berlin and Executive Director of Transparency International-Kenya. He has served as a columnist for the East African between 1995 and 2003 and at various times a correspondent for The Economist and other publications. Among his other appointments and distinctions are being a member of the boards of the following organizations, among others: Africa Institute for Governing with Integrity, Freedom House, Advisory Board Member, One. He is a member of the Advisory Council of Transparency International-Berlin and an Advisor to the Mathare Community Resource Centre. He is chairman of the board for the Africa Centre for Open Governance (AfriCOG). |

Tom MboyaTom Mboya is a governance and anti-corruption specialist, with several years experience in the field. Following his tertiary education in the US, UK, and South Africa, Tom returned to Kenya to lend his hand to the fight against corruption, and the promotion of accountability and transparency. Tom began his career as a Consultant with UN-HABITAT in Nairobi before working with the South African Parliament in Cape Town. He then spent a few years working with the Department of Governance and Ethics in the Office of the President. Thereafter, he worked with several African Parliaments under the auspices of the African Parliamentarians Network Against Corruption (APNAC). Prior to joining Inuka Kenya Trust, Tom was a Political Advisor to the British High Commission in Nairobi, Kenya. |

Paula LowittPaula concentrates on strategy and fund-raising and oversees Ni Sisi! finances and overall operations. Paula moved to Kenya from the United States in 2008 after a career in law and finance in the entertainment industry. She graduated with a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and earned her Juris Doctor and a Masters in Business Administration (Finance) from Fordham University Schools of Law and Business, respectively. She received her initial training with Weil, Gotshal & Manges in corporate law with a specialty in corporate governance. |

Ranjeeta JaniRanjeeta Jani joined the Inuka team as Director of Finance in July 2010. She is a qualified accountant with a BSc (Hons) in applied accounting and is a member of ACCA and ICPAK. She is currently pursuing her MBA. Ranjeeta started her career in audit where she spent 2.5 years before going into the commercial sector for 1.5 years, and then banking for 2 years before joining Inuka. When she is not 'playing with numbers' she loves spending her time watching movies, playing badminton and reading a wide variety of books. |

Crystal SimeoniCrystal Simeoni holds an MA in African Studies and has previously completed a Bachelors of Business Management degree. She spearheads Inuka Kenya Trust’(social) media and cultural outreach programme which primarily aims at engaging and motivating youth groups and cultural entities to use their positions in society to foster peace and unity by showing all Kenyans that they actually have more in common than they do in terms of differences. In order to do this she works closely with a wide array of strategic partners in the social, cultural and entertainment sectors. Inuka Kenya Trust’s cultural outreach initiative is thus able to spread the positive message of collective and individual change through its well-developed strong social networks and liaisons with influential members of Kenyan society, Kenyan media and social media. |

Eunice WanjikuEunice Wanjiku Kamau has several years experience organizing and facilitating local and international conferences. Her work at Ni Sisi! Social Movement entails working as the Executive Assistant and Office Administrator, ensuring that all office operations run smoothly. Eunice prides herself in playing a key role in the running of a nationwide initiative that is gradually having a positive impact on the lives of Kenyans. She is also a volunteer member at St. John Ambulance as the Corp Staff Officer in charge of administration. She is an experienced community mobilizer, and is active in emergency response as a certified Medic.

Robertson KabuchoRobertson Kabucho has a BA in Political Science and Communication from The University of Nairobi and is a graduate of the East African Uongozi Institute. He has been with Inuka Kenya Trust since November 2009, an experience he takes delight in, out of his interest and involvement in peace and good governance advocacy. Robertson is currently coordinating the Save the Lamu Archipelago project at Ni Sisi!; and is involved in the Peace Through Prosperity Programme (PTPP). Through Ni Sisi!, he is working towards a Kenya where the dignity of all is upheld; and progress is achieved in promoting peaceful coexistence, good governance and economic well-being of all Kenyans. |

Richard MwangangiRichard Mwangangi works as the Finance Deputy at Inuka Kenya Trust. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Finance option) from KCA University and is a CPA graduate. He further developed his career path in a nine-month internship at both the Kenya Tea Development Authority (KTDA) and at Chai SACCO. He has worked for two years as the Finance and Administration Officer at Ecotact Limited. Richard also has a heart for the less fortunate and has since his college years been involved in visiting various children’s homes both in and out of Nairobi. |

Sammy IregiSammy Gitau Iregi holds a Masters Degree in Management and Development from Manchester University. He brings into Inuka over fifteen years of experience working and engaging with communities in the slums. Due to the complex social, economic and political structures of slums, Sammy is resourceful in ensuring programmes encourage community ownership and positive engagement, in addressing socio-economic and environment challenges. This has contributed to the success of the Mathare Community Resource Centre, which he founded, together with the “Made in the Streets Organization”. Sammy also works as a researcher. |

Wanjiru KanyihaWanjiru holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi, and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. With previous work experience from Safaricom Limited, she joined Inuka Kenya Trust as Legal Counsel. She brings with her experience in contract management and also assists with fund raising activities. During her free time, she enjoys reading novels and educative journals, travelling and spending time with her family. |

Josephine Nekesa Were
Josephine Nekesa Were has several years experience in development of social media strategies and has helped several organisations, local, national and multinational, with their online communication needs. Her experience includes development and execution of those strategies. Josephine is responsible for developing the policies governing Ni Sisi!’s engagement on social media, working out the strategy to grow interest in Ni Sisi! and positively place the organisation’s brand on social media, as well as overseeing the successful execution of that policy. |

Dominic MutukuDominic Mutuku holds a BA Degree in Development Studies and a Certificate in Information Management. He has wealth of experience in advocacy, networking, community mobilization, research and documentation.Dominic’s work at Inuka Kenya Trust entails community mobilization and facilitation on various interventions and he believes in people’s empowerment for positive transformation.He also has great interest in general compilation and dissemination of up to date information as an awareness creation tool to the indigent community.Prior to joining Inuka, he conducted similar assignments at Transparency International Kenya (TI-K), Mayank Anti-Corruption Coalition (MACCO) in Arua North Western Uganda, Morogoro Paralegal Centre (MPLC) in Tanzania and Gambia Federation of Disabled (GFD) in The Gambia West Africa.

Kenneth Pascal OyimbaKenneth Pascal Oyimba works with Inuka Kenya trust as a community facilitator in the peace through prosperity project in Mukuru slum area.He has vast experience in children rights advocacy and protection with communities across Kenya ranging from Coast province to Nyanza and worked in an Orphans and Vulnerable Children Program with Franciscan Sisters of Immaculate conception of the holy mother of God, youth peer education programmes where he has trained as a youth T.O.T across Kenya and has previously been involved in youth exchange programs aimed at enhancing peace and prosperity funded by UNDP and Ministry of youth in Kibera slum and Msambweni constituencies. He has worked in Danida funded programs at the Coast province as assistant team leader and facilitator in agricultural and food security intervention and rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration programme targeting most at risk youths across Coast province and also worked in a similar Most at risk population interventions in South Nyanza in CDC funded program at Impact Research and Development Organisation. He has worked in the following areas HIV and AIDS prevention, care and support, child protection and advocacy as well as food security and agriculture interventions. Kenneth holds a Diploma in Community Development and Counselling from Mombasa Polytechnic University College and has attended several community based capacity building trainings. He believes in fairness, justice, equality, hard work, commitment as key virtues in enhancing human development and building a stable Nation. |

Amanya KuchioIs a social worker with experience in child rights advocacy, counselling, lifeskills training and administration. She is a graduate of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa with a BA in Social Sciences (Social Work) and has a keen interest in empowerment, education and awareness creation as a tool for driving development in the community. She is elated to be a part of the Ni Sisi! team and is happy to use her gifts as an instrument for social improvement in the lives of Kenyans. She is also a volunteer member of St. John Ambulance and the Rotaract Club of Nairobi Central where she undertakes various community service projects.

Cecil AgutuCecil Agutu is a Programme Manager in the Peace Through Prosperity programme of Inuka Kenya Trust. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Egerton University in Kenya, and a Master of Management (Public and Development Management) degree from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. In the past he has served as Programmes Manager at Strathmore Educational Trust, Policy Research Coordinator at Action Aid Kenya, Project Officer at Aga Khan Foundation (Young Development Professional programme), and Campaign Coordinator at the Sugar Campaign for Change.

Kennedy MjombaKennedy Mjomba holds a BA in social work and social administration from the Center of excellence in the heart of Africa, Uganda Christian University (UCU). He has worked with several organizations in Uganda and has a passion for promoting talent within young people. An advocate for change and good governance at all levels, he is currently Inuka’s ambassador to all youth and deprived communities in Kenya. Prior to joining Inuka Kenya Trust he was the basketball ambassador for Africa Ball and Community Development (Abacode Uganda) and is in the spearheading committee for Taita-Taveta Hospice. He has played competitive basketball in the Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) league in Uganda for four seasons and was the most defensive player during the UCU basketball invitational tournament 2010. He has won several university games both nationally and regionally. He loves travelling, watching movies and swimming. |
Wycliffe Yabwetsa LikhayaWycliffe Yabwetsa Likhaya joined Inuka Kenya Trust in January 2011 in the Peace through Prosperity Programe (PTPP) Yes Youth Can! as a community facilitator in Lang’ata constituency. Wycliffe is a committed social agent of change. He has vast experience in community development and promotion of positive behaviour change in HIV and AIDS programmes. Wycliffe has volunteered with Kenya Red Cross society, Family Health Options Kenya from 2000-2004 under IMPACT project as a community Peer educator. He has worked with National Organization OF Peer Educators (NOPE) since 2004-2011 serving in various capacities in APHIA II programme 2007-2009, NOPE International Institute 2010-2011 and lastly as a Technical Training Officer offering training solutions to workplaces across the country to establish and institutionalize effective Wellness and HIV/AIDS Comprehensive workplace programmes. He has helped mobilize Youths in Western for peace with Uzima Foundation from 1998-2000 assisting youths to participate peacefully in elections by forming Western Youth Alliance as Secretary General in 2007. He has developed several HIV/AIDS, Gender mainstreaming policies’. Wycliffe holds a Diploma in Community Development & Social work from Riccatti Business College of East Africa –2009 and currently is taking a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sustainable Human Development at Tangaza College a constituent of Catholic University of East Africa-(CUEA).He is a member of Kenya Red cross society, Professional Trainers Association of Kenya and accredited trainer by Directorate if Industrial Training. He believes in respect justice, peace, patriotism, hard work, spiritual being and equity for all persons as key virtues in enhancing human development and positivism in society.

David HerblingDavid Herbling holds a Bachelor of Education (Hons) English and Literature from Kenyatta University. He also undertook a 1 year international study program at Nagasaki University, Japan where he did Research in Education as well as Japanese Language and Culture Studies. Herbling is a keen student of current affairs, and harbours a deep thirst for development oriented information. Herbling is currently a Community Facilitator under the Peace Through Prosperity Program; which seeks to establish and develop community resource centres around the country. He was part of the team that re-modelled the Mathare Community Resource Centre in a bid to make it a model Community Resource Centre for the country in general; especially targeting the youth. Herbling is also a member of the Kenya National Commission for UNESCO Youth Committee on Education. |

Adam TravisAdam grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He attended the Cambridge Public Schools and later studied Education Policy at Harvard College where he wrote his senior thesis on public school choice and integration. Adam spent seven years working at the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter, where he served as the organization’s Staff Director from 2007-2009. Adam made his first trip to Kenya in the summer of 2009 as a teacher for the Kenya Scholar Athlete Project. After completing his B.A. in 2010, he returned to Kenya as a Michael C. Rockefeller Fellow, interested in learning more about how the Kenyan educational system shaped students’ multi-layered identities—individual, community, and national.

Gacheke GachihiGacheke Gachihi is a social justice activist and a Pan-Africanist, who has been in the human rights movement in Kenya for a decade. He is a member of Bunge la Mwananchi (peoples Parliament), an organic grassroots based social movement in Kenya, which he participated in its formative stages, to create a nationwide grassroots social movement, with organic Bunge la Mwananchi chapters across the country. Gacheke is also a community organizer and is involved in establishing community based resource centres. Such centres act as another wheel to locate the social movement in the diverse communities in Kenya in order to forge a nationwide collective identity and bring social transformation. |

Brenda SeremBrenda Serem holds a BA in Political Science from Moi University. She has a keen interest in Youth and Development and has participated in various peace building and livelihood initiatives in Mt. Elgon, North Rift Valley, and Malindi. Joseph KobuthiJoe Kobuthi is a graduate of the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Political Science and Economics. Prior to joining Inuka he was an intern with Kwani trust. Joe worked alongside the administration of the Mathare Community Resource Centre as they coordinated existing and new activities. He is interested in different areas of philosophy and is passionate about changing values and structural systems to positively transform society. He tested the community resource centre as a model for urban philosophy in Africa. |

Wamuyu Wamunyu Wamuyu is an educator with interest in non-formal adult education. She finds resonance in Ni Sisi’s core values that advocate for a strong self-identity and respect for our diversity and for one another. She’s a graduate of Kenyatta University and has taught for several years at secondary and university level.
